Last year, our focus was on Pakistan and Bangladesh in South Asia. This year, we turn our attention to the country east of Bangladesh—Myanmar—which has often appeared in the news in recent years. Scam compounds, civil war, earthquakes, and other crises have brought deep suffering to the people of Myanmar and made outsiders hesitant to go there, as if darkness had completely covered the land.
Yet God has not stopped working there. In times of fear and uncertainty, He continues to use His people to lead others to know the Lord Jesus. The true light and gracious hand of the Lord have never departed. Through this year’s conference, let us learn more about Myanmar and pray for the country together.
